Not many people read poetry these days. So how do we make it more accessible to them? What if the poet narrates his poems to us? And what if his narration is accompanied with a beautiful score?
The South African poet Kabous Verwoed did just this with his cd titled "Beenkamers en gange". But he went a little further. Because when asking me to make "music videos" of his poems, he added another layer to them - a layer of moving pictures.
In the following post i present three "music videos" of three of his poems. I hope you find these moving images moving. Who knows, maybe one or two of you will even see it as audio visual poetry...
